In early 2022, Samira decided to throw herself head-first into building a pop career, quickly landing on the radar of some of the music industry’s most respected songwriters and producers including Tre-Jean Marie (Little Mix, Flo), Cutfather (Demi Lovato, The Pussycat Dolls), Kal Lavelle (Ed Sheeran, Izzy Bizu), Ryan Ashley (H.E.R, Anne-Marie), & Lil Eddie (Maluma, Rita Ora). Samira kicked off her music career with one of 2022’s sleeper hits, ‘I Love Your Smile’. A collaboration with dance collective WDC, the track has amassed over 4m streams, spending 16 days in Spotify UK’s Daily Viral Chart, landing in the top five of the UK Club Chart and providing the first taste of daytime R1 support. So, what next? The dark, pulsating ‘Like This, Like That’, written with production heavyweight Cutfather and Danish pop prince Daniel Schulz is the first taste of the music to come. Samira has drawn heavily on her own experiences of love, friendship, loss and heartbreak to craft a largely autobiographical collection of songs that will lyrically strike a chord with her audience, all whilst keeping one eye firmly focussed on the dancefloor.
