Piston Damp’s started in the year 2000 by Jonas Goth and Truls Sønsterud. 8 tracks were recorded for a demo-CD. One of the tracks recorded, “Testimony”, was produced by the band and Sebastian Komor of Icon Of Coil. Another track, “Runaway”, went on to become song of the week on Norwegian radio in January 2005. The band also played a live gig at Dis in Fredrikstad, Norway. The band was dormant for many years, but the single "Something In Me" was digitally released on the 16th of October 2020, with several remixes and the B-side "Another Pain", originally written in 1994. The single Loose Ends was released digitally on February 1st 2021, together with the track Don't. Next out was Runaway with the B-side Re-Shaper, which was released on April 2nd. This release included exciting remixes by the likes of Substaat, Die Krupps and Mesh. On June 10th 2021 their 13-track debut album 'Making The World Great Again' was released through Sub Culture Records. In December 2021 the songs from the album that hadn’t previously been remixed, got what they deserved on the EP ‘Making The World Great Again EP’, with remixed from Sebastian Komor, Technomancer and Courtney Taylor-Taylor of The Dandy Warhols. After one year of playing concerts in Sweden, Norway and Germany, two singles were released on December 16th 2022, ‘Sacrifice’ and ‘All The Edges I Can Fall’ and a new chapter in the history of Piston Damp has begun.
