Vikthor is a hotly tipped techno DJ hailing from Italy’s Naples region and whose talent was spotted early by Carl Cox. His energetic style of driving techno fuses dark and intense atmosphere with pounding percussion and captivating synth lines. After first making a name for himself on the Italian club scene, he quickly became known for his invigorating DJ sets at many of Italy’s most important clubs. His career took a major boost following the success of the track “Twilo” by Elio Riso, as it was rated as one of the top tracks of 2018, and Carl Cox used it to open his set at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Carl Cox fell in love with the remix, and being a veteran of the industry with an ear for talent, he could tell instantly that Vikthor was something special. This led to Carl labelling Vikthor as one of the next generation of techno stars, and signed him to his label Intec. His collaborative track with Elio Riso called “Soul & Trip” was remixed by Carl Cox and DJ Mag labelled it as one of 2020’s best tracks. Not taking his foot off the gas, he has started 2021 with a bang and joined forces with Spain’s Oscar Aguilera for a four-track collaborative release on Monika Kruse’s iconic label Terminal M.
