Ishi is a high energy electronic band from Dallas, TX with influences of Soul, Funk, & Folk to Electro, Techno & House. They thrive on creating a positive atmosphere that allows their audience to let loose & express themselves. Ishi was born as an experiment between friends in Dallas, TX. In 2007, JT Mudd & Brad Dale set out to create a sound that would redefine their own voice in modern day music. Their vision was to blend the classic, soulful story-telling and organic instrumentation of traditional folk music, with the infinite sonic possibilities offered through electronic production. Experimentation quickly evolved into a journey of sound that would ultimately lead to Ishi’s debut, Through the Trees, released May of 2010. The success of the first album put Ishi on the concert circuit tour. The band opened up for the legendary UK band New Order in the Fall of 2012, They went on to support acts including but not limited to Snoop Dogg, Kid Cudi, Jungle, Neon Indian, Toro y Moi, Bob Moses and Ghostland Observatory to name a few.
 The next record and 3rd album is expected to drop Fall 2021 under Swedish Indie Label Icons Creating Evil Art the home of Flora Cash and will be titled “Sweet Gold” containing hit singles “Not My Girl” and “Lo-Fi Love Affair” This record can only be described as infusion of funk and soul and touch of electronic production. A true journey in time through music and some of the greatest musicians in the world.
