Who is Magiq? Magiq is human. At a time where it seems that everybody is being conditioned to suppress their emotions and shut off their ability to feel and be human, Magiq is on a mission to show that our vulnerability and emotions are what makes us human and unique. He is a young Black man who is working hard to show that there is so much excellence that can be found in the depths of the Nigeria and Africa. The 23-year-old singer and songwriter of Delta origin was born in Lagos city but spent a larger part of his life in Benin City, Nigeria. By virtue of his cross-cultural experiences in these different cities, his music and persona have been molded into a unique product that is exclusively his. His music which is considered a bridge between the generic afrobeat sound from the early 2000s and the Futuristic blend of new school afrobeat music aims to elicit the purest of human emotions from its listeners. Be it a mid-tempo song about lost love, new love, the struggles of hustling and succeeding, or even a fast-paced club song to make you dance, the goal remains the same; to remind you of the beauty of your human emotions so you embrace your humanity.
