Panos Papaioannou came to Athens in 2004 at which time he began his cooperation with the composer, Nikos Mamagakis. It was later, during December 2013 that he became widely known through the Greek Song Competition which was organized by the Hellenic Project and the Onassis Stegi. The song “Ta Merokamata” by Chrysostomos Karandoniou and Dimitris Papacharalampous won the audience award and became a radio hit single. It was with these producers that he released two albums “O Choros twn Hmerwn” and “Ta Fota sthn plateia”) featuring well known artists such as Dimitra Galani, Pantelis Thalassinou, Maria Papageorgiou, Apostolos Rizou, Lamprini Karakosta.. Having collaborated with a number of acclaimed artists, in 2019 he began working with the composer Dimitris Papadimitriou which led to his involvement in the composer’s latest work, “The Great Provocateur”at the Onassis Stegi, as well as participations in many of his concerts. Along with Veronica Davaki, he interprets the song “Vardia”, lyrics by Alkis Alkaiou, which is one of the new songs of the sequel to the television series, “Logo Timis”. At this time he is working in the studio and during the beginning of 2021 he will present a new song, music and lyrics by Costas Kaldaras. The song is a precursor of their new collaborative album.
