London's alternative quartet Scanners consists of singers/guitarists Sarah Daly and Matthew Mole, guitarist/keyboardist Amina Bates, and drummer Tom Hutt. The band began as the duo of Daly and Matthew Mole, who played their first gigs backed by a drum machine; playing gigs with DEVO Florence + The Machine, and Juliette Lewis, Scanners signed with DIM MAK records and released 3 albums Violence Is Golden , Submarine and Love Is Symmetry between 2006-2013. Their songs can be found on tv shows In My Dreams on One Tree Hill Salvation on Gossip Girl @Baby Blue Shameless and The Big C. In 2023 they released From The Hive previously unreleased tracks from their beginnings 2001-2004
