Spices Peculiar is an improvisational looping project lead by Dante Villagomez originating from Pittsburgh, PA and now based in Denver, CO. Since 2015, he has crafted and controlled his unique looping of guitar, synths, and percussion to flow through a blend of Ambient Electronica and Avant-Garde releases. Using a looping oriented pedalboard, Dante creates an improvised experience by looping his guitar, the "green box" Pocket Piano and various world percussion instruments. Dante's ultimate intention is humbling the mind and exploring new musical space. Debuting a podcast in 2018, Spices Peculiar's Night at Sea Podcast aims to shift the mind towards the land of Nod. Float through meditative journeys with multi instrumental improvisational loop jams while drifting off to sleep. Every episode is recorded live and features mostly Pittsburgh and Denver based musicians and visual artists. Each guest brings their unique musical approach to light through improvising together.
