Angelo & Veronica are celebrating 31 years together in music. Their official debut album, Higher Place was released in August 1992. They have won three Dove awards including Contemporary Black Gospel Song of the Year for their song, “God Knows”. Angelo Petrucci, Italian born Boston native, started playing guitar when he was only five years old. After his father, a professional guitar player, became ill, Angelo replaced his dad in the band when he was just thirteen years old. Angelo won a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA becoming an established guitar player and singer. Veronica Torres, of Puerto Rican descent born in the Bronx, NY, met Angelo when she was twenty years old while singing and attending Berklee in Boston. Angelo says as soon as he saw Veronica he said, “that’s my wife.” They were married in April 1992. Angelo & Veronica have recorded eleven albums. Veronica Petrucci has recorded three solo albums including Made It Out Alive. Angelo produced songs, “No Fear” and “Expecting Great Things” featuring John P Kee. Her book, How I Made it Out Alive, is her personal testimony of overcoming fear and depression. She is currently working on her new book, God is Bigger than Depression. Angelo and Veronica have received honorary doctorates in sacred music. They teach online vocal training called Master Your Voice. They have an online ministry, Higher Place Church every Sunday. They are currently working on another new album.
