Boitumelo Benevolent Mokolobate, known as Benev, is an aspiring R&B/Alternative HipHop rapper, singer and songwriter. Much like her name (Benevolent, from which her stage name is derived), Benev is a kind and vibrant socialite who writes songs as a way of expressing thoughts and feelings others can relate to and be inspired by. Her songwriting & music journey began in 2020, stimulated by American vocalist, Alina Baraz, challenging her to step out of her comfort zone and explore her love for music and entertainment. 
 She is currently working on an EP and has released her first single called Broken on the 30th Sep 2022. Benev has worked with AB Central, in a song called Overflow, released in August in honour of Women’s Day, which was nominated at the Crown Gospel Awards under the category ‘Best Rap Gospel’!
