Toby Gale is an artist and composer whose current work explores the relationship between curated musical synthesis and data driven music composition from the natural world. Toby's recent most work 'Sun Songs' uses an instrument that converts sunlight to sound and music, designed and built by Toby and engineers. Sunrises were recorded in different locations around the world, forming soundscapes which became the foundations for each piece. Additional music was composed around these, infusing essences of jazz, hip hop and gospel throughout. Over a spell of releases, he has collaborated and remixed the likes of Rina Sawayama, Flamingods, Iglooghost, Photay, Kero Kero Bonito, Robert Ames and many others, refracting genres and adding to his unique approach to production and composition.
