Dumb Balloon are a duo from Portland, OR. The project started in 2020 when Galen Ballinger heard the eccentric production of Trevor Robinson (AKA Bad Liars) and was inspired to contribute his own sincere voice and songwriting. The pair collaborated to bring this collection of songs to life under what came to be known as Dumb Balloon. With influences as varied as LCD Soundsystem, Fiona Apple, 90’s hip hop and dark wave, Dumb Balloon create a sound best described as Grunge Pop. Their unique blend of melodic yet unconventional grooves is perfect for a late night drive across town.
