Biography

Daniel Aaron Rosenboom (b. 5/7/1982) is a creative and prolific trumpet artist, composer, producer, and Los Angeles studio musician. He has released many full-length albums under his own name. His most recent album, Book of Storms, was released on Orenda Records in December of 2015. His quartet, Burning Ghosts, who debuted in 2016, recently released their second album on John Zorn's iconic Tzadik Records. Additionally, he has released three albums with his Balkan-inspired band PLOTZ!, five albums with his spontaneous jazz-rock group DR. MiNT, and has appeared on albums by Vinny Golia, Anthony Wilson, Harris Eisenstadt, Kubilay Üner, the Jon Armstrong Jazz Orchestra, Jose Gurria-Cardenas's Gurrisonic Orchestra, Trevor Anderies, Dorian Wood, David Rosenboom, RootSystem, Geoff Gallegos’s NineNet, Killsonic, Got Monk?, Orkestar Mézé, and the Industrial Jazz Group. Daniel also records for motion pictures, television, and video games, and can be heard on such notable titles as Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi, Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens, The BFG, X-Men: Apocalypse, Godzilla, Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and many more. As a classical freelance musician and noted interpreter of modern and avant-garde music, he has performed with most of the elite groups and musicians in Los Angeles. In January of 2014, he founded the independent record label, Orenda Records, in an effort to promote his community of like-minded musicians in Los Angeles and beyond.<br>
