Isaac McQueen is a singer, songwriter and producer based in Auckland, New Zealand. Developing his song writing and instrumental skills from a young age, he started producing music in 2011 and has since evolved into a signature cloud R&B sound that contrasts ethereal melodies with aggressive drums. Branching out from successes under previous moniker Rhealm, McQueen released his debut project “3AM” on December 11th 2020. The four track EP is a significant milestone in his journey, and openly discusses his battle to create music consistent with his identity. McQueen is responsible for the production on the project, crafting melancholic, hard hitting beats, the perfect platform for him to paint pictures of open roads, romance, and studio sessions deep into the night. While music is his primary focus, it is evident McQueen’s background in visuals arts plays a major part in his creative expression. With the help of his self-directed music videos, we are presented with a nostalgic, dreamy aesthetic that illustrates an additional perspective to his art.
