Desmond Child & Rouge was a die-hard New York City band. Young & street-wise, they proved ahead of their time with their eclectic fusion of Rock, Pop, Girl Group, Dance, Latin and Punk. Formed by Desmond Child, Maria Vidal, Myriam Valle & Diana Grasselli, the group made their name at the legendary CBGB, the West Village nightclub Reno Sweeney, The Lower Manhattan Ocean Club & the underground uptown rock club TRAX. Their cult following included the creme de la creme of the New York scene... George Harrison, John Belushi, Bill Murray and Paul Stanley of KISS among others. One of their big fans, Gilda Radner, invited Rouge to be in her debut Broadway show, Gilda Live, produced and directed by Lorne Michaels. They are highlighted in film director Mike Nichols’ acclaimed documentary of the show. Desmond Child & Rouge originally signed with Capitol Records and recorded two stylistically different albums released the same year. Their self-titled Desmond Child & Rouge included the Billboard Top 40 hit “Our Love Is Insane” which launched a national tour playing every major city. Their second album, Runners In The Night, followed just six months later, culminating in a musical guest appearance on Saturday Night Live. The remastered album releases were accompanied by a newly recorded re-imagined version of their classic hit titled, “OUR LOVE IS INSANE XX.” They recently finished recording their new single "UNPREDICTABLE" that was released on 5/17/24.
