Duncan Eagles a London-based saxophonist who performs regularly at venues and festivals all over the world. As well as running his own groups, Duncan is also very much in demand as a sideman, and has performed with some of the top names and bands in the music world including Gary Husband, Zara McFarlane, Melt Yourself Down, Mark Mondesir, Ola Onabule and Janek Gwizdala to name a few. Duncan is also recognized for his work with critically acclaimed band, Partikel who have released five albums to date, “Partikel”, "Cohesion", "String Theory" and Counteraction. Their latest album “Anniversary Song” is signed to German based label Berthold Records. Cohesion being hailed as one of the top 10 releases of 2012 according to renown critic Kevin LeGendre and String Theory made it into the European Jazz Network Charts and also the Daily Telegraph's best albums of 2015 . In 2017 they were nominated for a parliamentary jazz award in the category of "Best Jazz Ensemble" alongside Phronesis and Binker and Moses. In 2019 Duncan released his debut with Ropeadope which lead to opening for sax legend Joshua Redman at the Barbican in London as well as international touring including multiple shows at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. Duncan has performed his music all over the globe from Shanghai Jazz Festival to Rochester Jazz Festival in New York. He is now preparing to release his next album with Ropeadope titled “Narations”.
