Rodion Buryanenko was born on July 12, 2000, in the provincial city of Russia close to the regional capital, Rostov-on-Don, and is known under the stage pseudonym RODIONIS. Starting his career in 2016, he quickly switched to working in English. The artist gained significant recognition after the release of the singles "5 am" and "Zemfira" in English. The second track included a sample of the eponymous singer. Both compositions garnered a large number of streams and were warmly received by listeners. Rodion became one of the first Russian-speaking artists to begin promoting English-language music in Russia. To this day, he remains one of the most successful performers in this genre.
