Laura Misch is a South London-based multidisciplinary artist and producer. 𝑆𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐸𝑎𝑟𝑡ℎ out June 7th 2024, is an acoustic sister-album following her acclaimed debut Sample The Sky. Regrown from the original tracks and collectively improvised into intimate acoustic arrangements, 𝑆𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐸𝑎𝑟𝑡ℎ was recorded entirely live, from beginning to end, amongst an audience of close friends. 2023’s ‘Sample The Sky’ was an ode care, connection and listening to the natural world. A departure from her previous bedroom-produced work (EPs ‘Playground’ and ‘Lonely City’ released in 2017 and 2019 respectively), Laura opened up every aspect of the process to her South London creative community. Since it’s release Laura collaborated with eco social design studio Holobiont, to plant the album back to the environments it was inspired from, evolving ‘Sample The Sky’ for acoustic performances on a forest sound walk in South London’s Sydenham Woods and an ambient saxophone performance at a sound (cloud) bath at The Waiting Rooms in Peckham.
