Mark is an English musician and singer/songwriter with a difference …... in that he does it all with one arm, not for any clever reason but simply because he was born with one arm. Writing songs, in his head, before he could play any instrument, he eventually found a way of playing guitar, one-handed, when he was 13 using his thumb to pluck and strum and three fingers to fret with. Following many years as a guitarist/songwriter in various rock bands – The Poppyheads, Nelson Romeu, Supersmiler and Slinki Malinki - once managed by the legendary producer Gus Dudgeon, Mark eventually took a solo path in 2010. He began playing his own, simple, acoustic ballads at local gigs and was voted ‘Best Support Artist 2010’ at the 'Guildford Music Awards' of that year. He continues to perform regularly, both as a solo artist and with his Blues band, at numerous gigs and festivals throughout the UK and has toured internationally in both Romania and Kosovo. He has had his songs featured in films such as 'World without Waves' and broadcast internationally - 'Rock FM' in Romania and 'RTK' in Kosovo, as well as on the 'BBC World Service' and 'BBC - Radio Berkshire' and Eagle Radio. In addition to rock, pop, blues and ballads, he also composes incidental and soundtrack music and has had his music featured in promo films for events such as the 'Festival of Orlane' in Kosovo and in a rock musical 'Everything in Colour'.
