Biography

Rukus is a UK recording artist, DJ, and producer who has been professionally touring and performing both nationally and internationally as a solo artist and with his TRINITY collective. Rukus’s first release ‘Let It Go’ produced by Baby J achieved nationwide success and critical acclaim. The single featuring Ty, Klashnekoff and Yogi took the UK Hip-Hop scene by storm and immediately became a 'classic' and launched Rukus into the airwaves in late 2005. Rukus released a number of hits in 2006 that featured and had regular airplay on stations such Radio1, 1Xtra, MTV Base, Channel U. Notably collaborating with Def 1 on the track 'Hustle Everyday' which received an equal amount of positive reactions. 2007 Rukus featured on the Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse Valarie remix alongside Precha, Alex Blood and Malik MD7, which has sold over 450,000 copies. In 2012 the unique sounding ‘Skank (out my crew)’ and Call me King were both selected by BBC Introducing resulting in the track being play listed as ‘track of the week’ on BBC 1Xtra with Call me king also appearing on BBC Introducing’s Ones to watch 2013 Mixtape. 2014 Rukus had music and also featured in Giff Gaff Mobiles National TV campaign #alltheboss. After taking time out of music to focus on family and his business Rukus is back in the studio preparing his forthcoming project R.O.T.R (Return Of The Real) and Various other Collaborative Projects in 2020.
