Dumas' first connection to music was learning the trumpet & trombone. At thirteen, he taught himself piano and began experimenting with FL Studio. Soon Dumas was sampling his Dad’s old CDs, teaching himself beatmaking fundamentals, recording and releasing music locally. Hooked on the craft he was determined to make it a career. After high school, he joined the Air Force and proudly served for the next decade, continuously perfecting his craft with the end goal of making music so damn real that no one could ignore it. Once discharged, that’s exactly what he did – he moved to Atlanta, got to work and never looked back. Stepping into the game as DumasXPNTL, a professional producer, beat-maker, and artist – he hit the ground running, immediately getting serious results. Creating quality cuts with true grit, savvy skills, an undeniable ear for music, and next-level instincts, DumasXPNTL established himself as a major player at the forefront of modern-day production. Working with crucial upcoming names like Lil 2z, Shunie, and Young Jah – the latter of which collaborated with him and Only1Deezy on “I Won’t Never,” amassing a quarter million hits in the first four months of release. Racking up hits on everything he produces – Lil 2z’s “Deep End” banked a half million clicks, and his own instrumental beat record gained six digits of its own.
