"Her ability to sing and feel at home in such a wide variety of styles, from old songs to new, is a gift equaled only by her incredible voice. It's wonderful to hear her sing." - Jeff Ballard Tatiana Nova is an award-winning jazz vocalist and composer whose voice is often described by critics as reminiscent of Flora Purim and Norah Jones. Born in Moscow in 1995, she relocated to Germany at 19, securing one of two coveted spots at the University of Music in Dresden. Under the mentorship of Céline Rudolph, Tatiana immersed herself in diverse projects, joined the German National Jazz Orchestra and released her debut EP, "PLANETA." In 2020, she was invited to the esteemed "Focusyear Basel" jazz program led by ECM recording artist and jazz guitarist Wolfgang Muthspiel. Throughout her studies, she shared the stage with jazz luminaries like Lionel Loueke, Miguel Zenón, Ingrid Jensen, Kurt Rosenwinkel and others. After earning a master's degree in jazz pedagogy from the Music Academy in Basel, Nova relocated to Berlin, and started imparting her knowledge as a jazz voice lecturer at the Dresden University of Music. Tatiana collaborates with renowned musicians across Europe, and she actively spearheads a duo project with the accomplished pianist Julia Perminova. Their debut album is slated for release in 2024.
