What began for Romanian transplant Daniel Mihai "CAYA" as a dedication to the dancefloor, has now transformed into an unabashed passion for precision production. In his musical infancy earned a rep for cranking out bangers in sweaty rooms – fueled by turbocharged beats and crescendos that were intentionally crafted to prompt an “ooooooh” from the crowd. And while the urge to turn a room on its head still resonates in his work, Mihai, has taken a whole new approach. “There is nothing wrong with being a DJ. It takes a certain talent to know how to play to a crowd. But for me, producing something original was important. I wanted to learn and grow, be an artist, not just appreciate the art.”
