Biography

VLRI is a singer, songwriter, and model. Her music is inspired by Aaliyah, Erykah Badu, and Amy Winehouse. Her vocals are sultry with undertones of her eclectic mix of musical genres, including Neo-soul, R&B, Bossanova, and Jazz.
Born in Inglewood, CA, raised in the Washington DC area, she first gained recognition at the age of 5, when she appeared in Hollywood's Musician Institute open audition. Her passion for singing and love for music is attributed to her parents' passion for music. Her father, a talented Los Angeles D.J., and her mother, who trained her at the age of two to sing, encourage her to pursue her passion.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, VLRI performed "Can you feel the love tonight" in the Lion King Musical produced by Noelle Chestnut Whitmore on Clubhouse; and #WomanCrushWednesday Virtual Concert series hosted by Mani Marino.
VLRI has performed for President Obama and his family two consecutive years in TNT's Christmas in Washington. As a published model, she has represented various brand campaigns.
VLRI is working with various artists and producers from Washington DC and Los Angeles. She is currently collaborating with new artists on her second EP.
Her first collaboration project was with KeYed, hip hop artist and producer, representing HellVacancy Records on his EP "Juice Tracy" released in 2018, where she did vocals on his song "Void. Also provided vocals in hip hop artist's Aunz's single "Apple of my Eye" released in 2020.
