John Soderlund better known as Ecliptics is a student of all things bass music. From atmospheric downtempo to melodic dubstep, Ecliptics has the uncanny ability to blend any genre into his distinctive style. Ecliptics has spent his entire life within the realm of music, performing, recording and mastering records for his father’s Swedish touring band Smörgåsbandet. With that musical foundation to build upon, He was able to translate his multi-instrumental talent to the world of electronic music. Characterized by funk-driven basslines and synth-saoked melodies, Ecliptics has an ever-growing catalog of hits. He has a nuanced approach to production, seeking to incorporate live instrumentation as much as possible and push the boundaries of his sound.
