Rosellina Guzzo is an Italian harpist, graduated from the “Conservatorio di Musica Vincenzo Bellini” in Palermo, Italy, who has dedicated years to studying the harp in modern music, from folk to blues. She plays a blue electroharp (an electronic Celtic harp with a pick-up for each string), an instrument of modern design with a powerful and an innovative sound.With such an instrument she can get special expressive effects, not allowed by standard models of harp. She has an extensive experience as a concert artist, has played as principal harpist in numerous International Harp Festivals in Italy, Europe and USA and has been on tournée in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In 1999 she started a collaboration with the “Aes Dana” band, gaining a few international awards, included the first prize at the “Usa Songwriting Competition” and the “Top Five Award” at Johnn Lennon Songwriting Contest of New York, with the unpublished music track “Frontiera” Rosellina Guzzo is an accomplished concertist, who has played as a solist and in numerous music groups: Chieftains, Jacqui McShee, Gerry Conway, Paddy Keenan, Mairtin O'Connor. In Sicily she has featured as harpist in numerous editions of “Womad”, an International World Music Festival (founded by Peter Gabriel), which brings together artist from all over the globe.
