Malika (Formerly known as MELEKA) started her career at a young age, winning her first talent contest aged five, supported by her Music producer Father, and Mother, who’s a teacher, Malika attended Sylvia Youngs Performing Arts School and continued to write songs and compete in talent shows throughout her teenage years.
 Malika listened to all types of music growing up, but was particularly influenced by strong 90’s female R&B and Pop acts such as Brandy, Mary J Blige and Destinys Child and often used her Fathers studio to write and record demo’s. 
 After graduating from London Metropolitan University, Malika began working with artists such as, Tinie Tempah, Basement Jaxx, and in 2009 had massive success with Crazy Cousinz under the pseudonym Meleka. She continued to write as Meleka until 2016 when she relaunched her singing career under her real name MALIKA and featured on a song called ‘Falling’ with Snakehips, from their ‘Money On Me EP’ 
 Since relaunching as MALIKa she has collaborate with artists such as Michael Calfan and Riton on their solo releases, and in 2017 Malika released her debut EP ‘Songs About C.’ 
 Featuring production from Snakehips on lead single ‘Put It On Me,’ Bodhi and Math Time Joy on ‘Run’, and Bearcubs on ‘I Live.’ and she spent much of 2018 touring around the UK, at showcases and festivals such as Standon Calling and Reading and Leeds.
