Meet Palmtrees Papi, a versatile artist who's been making waves in the music scene with his unique blend of hip hop, R&B, UK garage, baile and jungle beats. Born in Hamburg, Germany and growing up in a German-Nigerian household, he was influenced by the sounds from all over the world, which led him to start make dabble in Western-African percussion, drums, guitar and later on DJing at the age of 22. His style is influenced by artists like Kenny Beats, Sango, VHOOR, Icytwat, The Alchemist and Pi’erre Bourne. As part of the Netherlands-based hip hop collective Northern Lights, Palmtrees Papi quickly burst onto the local club scene, and short after, he was playing at events in Groningen, Netherlands. His ability to seamlessly transition between genres and keep the crowd on their feet earned him a reputation as one of the most dynamic DJs in the scene. In addition to his work as a DJ, Palmtrees is also a talented producer and has released a number of original tracks that showcase his signature style.
