Hailing from Chicago, Boy Maj is a genre-bending force on the rise. Fusing sensual RnB elements with widescreen pop sensibilities, the producer, singer-songwriter grounds their futuristic sound with an airy sense of 90's nostalgia. 
 "Music is an opportunity to escape and celebrate moments at their fullest energy," he notes. "Growing up with Pop, Disco, Rock and Showtunes, I always strive to grasp the essence of the music that made me and blend it with the new sounds I want to hear. As artists, we get to create the soundtrack for our own lives and I think that's an awesome responsibility." 
 Growing up in a musical family, Maj began performing at a young age. Fascinated by rhythm, he focused his school years playing different instruments in band and orchestra, honing his production skills at the school library. He eventually graduated into the music program at DePaul University where he took an active role in collegiate acapella and the Grammy U Foundation, writing and producing for local artists along the way. 
 He began releasing original music in Summer 2019 and is currently in the studio finishing a trio of collaborative projects. Follow @theboymaj to stay current
