Oregon based psychedelic indie hip-hop jam band Free Creatures is rising fast. Referred to sometimes as umami music, their genre-blasting and energetic sound brings a smart and uplifting blend of smooth vocals, upright bass, electric guitar, and MPC live. The band consists of only three members: Eugene-born emcee and long-time Northwest legend Marv Ellis, Anchorage Alaskan Emily Turner gifting her sweet serenading vocals over solid and beastly grooves on Upright Bass, and upside-down leftie-shredding savant and guitar-super-hero Skyler Squglio from Reedsport, Oregon. Their two full-length studio albums "All the Things" and "While We Can" boast heartfelt and heady originals, while the first of several highly requested covers, "Moondance" brings an electrified yet soulful dance version of Van Morrison's classic.
