Dizkopolis is a music production & DJ duo, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, composed of Ahmad Taufiq & Adi Ridhwan. The duo is formed back in 2010 & got their first break in 2012, when they emerged as the winner of Astro Hitz – The Music Video Grant with their first original single "Class of '91". They continued making remixes for fellow Malaysian acts in purpose of discovering their signature sound, taking major influences from a plethora of music (Disco, Funk, Jazz, Neo-Soul, House, Techno, Rock & Roll). After almost a four-year hiatus from music, the duo returned in 2017 by competing in a global remix competition held by Kitsuné. Kitsuné is a French electronic music record label and fashion label created in 2002 by Gildas Loaëc, Masaya Kuroki and the London based company Åbäke. Dizkopolis was judged & selected as the winner of the "Remix Competition: Hollywood by Pat Lok", outshining 110 entries that were submitted worldwide. The remix was released digitally on Kitsuné in the compilation "Hold On Let Go (Remixes)" alongside international acts Pat Lok, JNTHN STEIN, Crackazat, Potatohead People, Fabich and more. The duo returned in 2019 & released their single "Work It Out" together with the official music video. The single is a collaborative effort with fellow Malaysian act, Froya. The single was released on New, Hot & Fresh | Kitsuné Musique. Re-contextualizing the golden age of house music, the duo is at the forefront of the latest French Touch wave in Malaysia.
