Composer, Orchestral & Choir Conductor, Arranger and Performer, Jorge J. Collantes ARSM was born in 1964. All his musical studies have been realized in the most important musical institutions like Vienna Conservatoire, Madrid Conservatoire, Royal School of Music, London College of Music,... Jorge J. Collantes obtained the grade of Associate of Royal Schools of Music in Music Performance (Recorder) "with Distintion", the highest calification. As conductor and performer, he specialized in Early Music Repertoire, playing historical Flutes and Recorders, with orchestras, in chamber ensembles or conducting. He has participated in early music projects with the Haendel Consort, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, The English Concert, The Sixteen, Europa Galante, The King Consort, La Cetra Barockorchester Basel, Academy of Ancient Music, London & Vienna Kammerorcherter, Orchestra of the Eighteen Century & Capella Amsterdam, National Orchestra of Spain, RTVE Symphony Orchestra, Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra, among others; and with directors such as Richard Eggar, Pierre Cao, Robert King, Fabio Biondi, Harry Bicket, Harry Christophers, Andrea Marcon, Andreas Spering, Daniel Reuss or Ilia Korol among others. As Composer his style is a mix between classical structures and New Age music, but always using tonal music. He uses the piano as the main instrument to compose and arrange music. Jorge J. Collantes is the Musical Director of BACH COLLEGIUM MUSICUM since 2015.
