Olowo Qudus Opeyemi popularly known by his stage name 'Black Poet' also known as 'El Blacko' was born and bred in Lagos Mainland, Ebute-Metta precisely on the 13th of June, 2001. He's the last child of a polygamous family. He used to be a music enthusiast while growing up but never considered music as a career instead focused on poetry. But around 2022 he pursued his music career and recorded his first studio song which he later released as his debut single titled: 'Alhamdulilah' a UK drill type music. He later remixed the song with one of his colleagues at the University of Ilorin named Damicruz. After then, he decided to focus on music and eventually retired from poetry in 2023. As a deep listener and lover of the UK hip-hop , Grime and Drill. He admires the British Rapper Dave and considers him as his favourite rap artiste in the world.
