Rose Alaimo is a one-lady band from Ithaca, NY who writes, sings, performs, programs, records, and co-produces all of her own music. As a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Rose has performed in musical groups with styles ranging from rock, metal and blues to folk and a cappella, and brings this diversity into her own music. From her acoustic-based debut album, "The Importance of Centers," to the gritty, anthemic, "Grow," to her most recent concept album, the introspective "A Place To Go When You Need To Hide," Rose's lyrics trend toward the dreamy and existential with a voice that has been most commonly referred to as "honest." In addition to her solo work Rose is a session musician and has been involved in several successful collaborations with artists all over the world including Paris, Australia, LA, Alaska, and South Africa. Rose strives to make each musical project different from the last. She believes strongly in making albums to more fully explore ideas and has a special obsession with creating vocal harmonies. She is also a veterinarian and vegetable farmer. "Rose writes from the heart.” -Please Pass the Indie Blog “Rose is the kind of musician you like from first listen and once you get to know her, you are hooked.” -Skope Magazine “‘A Place To Go When You Need To Hide’ is not just an album; it’s a heartfelt testament to resilience, choice, and the human spirit’s capacity to find tranquillity amidst the turmoil.” -Jace Media Music
