Mr. Shadow (real name José Anguiano) is a Chicano rap artist from San Diego, California. He was born in San Diego Ca in 1979. He started writing music at the age of 12 and released his debut album, "Till I Die", in 1996 independently and re-released it in 98 after getting signed to a label. Mr. Shadow has collaborated with many other artists including Kokane, Baby Bash, Frankie J, 40 Glocc, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, Roscoe, Glasses Malone, Suga Free, C-Bo, Mista Grimm, Domino and many more. Mr. Shadow has released over 20 albums, both in English and Spanish. He is one of the most highly featured Mexican American rappers, having appeared on more than 100 albums. He is also a successful producer. Mr. Shadow is a controversial figure, but he is also one of the most respected Chicano rappers in the industry. His music is raw and honest, and he is not afraid to speak his mind. He is a true voice of the streets, and his music has resonated with many people who have lived through similar experiences.
