Dominic Villamor, formally known as Villa, had to change his name for business purposes. Ojisan means old man or uncle in Japanese, and at this point, Dom feels like a seasoned vet in the game. Born in the Bay Area, he moved to the southside of Atlanta at a young age. He would go back and forth keeping his roots in the bay while becoming more and more southern. In San Francisco, he learned about art, and in Atlanta he learned about music. Under the name Villa he dropped projects such as the Richie Souf produced “Vertical” where he started exploring melodies and more of a sing song style. Followed by the EP’s “Fluorescent” and “Serotonin” where he began to mix his singing and his rapping cohesively. He continued his practice by releasing one song a week for a whole year on Soundcloud. Last but not least he released “Dream Rap” (what he called his style at the time) and the EP’s “How To Dream 1” & “How To Dream 2” After that he took some time reconfigure his game plan. He decided to carve out his own lane out to something even more specific. He changed his name and linked up with ASLTW Outbreak to release his latest project January 2020, “The Richest and The Strongest”. While simultaneously pushing his music and his clothing brand, Villamor | House Of Love (Villamor translates to house of love in Filipino), the old man is still learning new tricks. The House Always Wins.
