Toronto-based, producer, pianist David “Matisse” Francois, professionally known as akaMatisse through his solo work, is one third of the Juno Award winning electronic group Keys N Krates. Taking inspiration from composers and producers such as Hans Zimmer, Quincy Jones, Andrew Lloyd Weber and Isaac Hayes, Matisse’s solo work beautifully blends elements of electronic, dancehall and classical stylings.
