Growing up across continents helped shape QARAN’s unique sound that is heavily influenced by his early exposure to R&B, dancehall & hip-hop music. However, his early years in the music industry producing for Indian musical legends Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy & Pritam set the foundation that keeps his finger on the pulse of the masses. Coming into the limelight in 2018 with his debut single, 'Tareefan' for the Kareena Kapoor Khan & Sonam Kapoor starring film, 'Veere Di Wedding,' QARAN brought with him a fresh new sound into the Indian mainstream. By combining his love for R&B & dancehall with his Indian roots, QARAN held the #1 spot on charts across the country for months & redefined what a Bollywood hit sounds like. He was nominated for “Song of the Year” & “Best Upcoming Composer” amongst others at every prestigious award show in the country & took home several awards for the same. Soon after, he signed a major record deal with Sony Music and released his follow up multi-platinum single, “Haaye Oye” featuring Bollywood actress Elli AvrRam. Determined to take Indian music international, he then collaborated with superstar DJ 'R3HAB” on the single “Ki Kehna.' that instantly took over many major Spotify playlists including Global X. Most recently, QARAN collaborated with actress Ileana D’ Cruz for the song “Ooo Ooo” & made his return to Bollywood with “Haanji” & “Desi Wine” as part of the Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar & Shehnaaz Gill starring film, “Thank You For Coming.”
