Phemelo Mamabolo formally known as Certified Genius is a Singer & Hip Hop producer hailing from the mining town of Carletonville just outside of Johannesburg. His introduction to music came at a very young age as he grew up in a Missionary & would sit in choir rehearsals at his grandfather's church. Though his first taste of music came in the form of gospel he would later be introduced to a wide variety of great RnB/Pop musicians which consisted of Beyoncé, Aicia Keys & Brandy would later shape him into the musician he is today. As he grew older his taste in music became more diverse & he was exposed to different genres. Overtime his love for music grew so much that in the late summer of late 2017 he started producing his own music. & for the next 3 years he worked & produced for local artists around Carletonville building a name for himself. The year Is now 2023 & Certified has 2 projects under his name TLC (Teenage Love Crisis) which was released to all platforms on the 16th of July 2021 & was heavily influenced by the slow RnB ballads he grew up listening to & LATE LIFE CRISIS (LLC) was released on the 20th of July 2022 & was the 2nd installment to the "Crisis" mixtape series. It wasn't really a fan favorite as it was a switch up sonically with hard hitting trap anthems opposed to the slow love ballads that encapsuled TLC but stand out tracks would be my bih she a queen like latifah & skadoski. Its easy for this one to be dubbed his most underrated work.
