Tema Siegel is the lead singer and lyricist of Couch, a soul/pop/funk band from Boston. Tema draws her inspiration from early exposure to Boston’s folk scene, years of study as a jazz saxophonist, and her training in musical theatre. She graduated in 2021 with a BFA from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. Since graduating, Tema has recorded with the bands Lawrence and Scary Pockets, and has fronted Couch’s debut tour. Tema infuses her storytelling with a funk sensibility, striving to create songs that are equal parts emotional and danceable.
