The music project MATURO was created in 1996 by composer Troy Maturo as an outlet for his musical creativity and a base to project his music. Being an electronic music technology guru, he began to compile some music in his unique electronic style. Thus in 1997, he released his first full-length studio album Carpe Diem under his own label T.M.M. MusicWorks. After successfully promoting Carpe Diem, with performances at venues like Universal Studio Hollywood and The Irvine Spectrum, it was clear that there was a base for his style of music. He then released the albums, Forever and Sanctuary all while maintaining the same rigorous performance schedule which was beginning to take its toll. In 2002, he decided to take a step back from music to concentrate on elevating his personal life. Then in 2008, after a reboot, MATURO contracted with Disney and began performing on a monthly rotation at the Disneyland Resort. This move prompted the release of a piano compilation album, Piano all the Pieces. In 2011 Infinity was released and would be MATURO'S most successful album to date with the singles, Truly Eve, and NeverTech with both receiving Hollywood Music Media Award nominations for that year. The year 2016 brought an intense performance schedule with over 140 nights throughout various venues across Southern California. This set the tone for the release of, Aurora, which was a single/EP that yielded yet another Hollywood Music Media Award nomination with the full album due in 2021.
