IZABEL is a Ugandan singer/songwriter and instrumentalist navigating the developing hybrid sound on the African music scene in Uganda by applying her melodies and writing style to a sound yet to be locally understood, accepted and promoted, outside definitive genre, in an attitude of exploration and non-conformity. 
 She aims to vulnerably tell the story of the intricacies of the every day human experience in the context of a post-colonial Ugandan generation with her own life. Her artistic vision is therefore to articulate content, performance and a sound that comprehensively represents the evolving Ugandan musical aesthetic in its urban-hybrid dimensions. 
 IZABEL hopes to use her art to inspire the acknowledgement of a perspective that appreciates the relevance of art in community, in life and on a journey as an artist and as a Ugandan.IZABEL, vulnerably weaves stories of the intricacies of her everyday life with her personal experiences. Her vision is make art with a sound representative of the hybrid culture she is from. She especially wants to show it has a place in the dynamic and ever evolving Ugandan aesthetic. She stylistically applies a sound that reveals the changing scope and morphing versatility of the African Music scene today.
