Leonardo Dessi is a Franco-Italian composer, pianist, and producer. Formerly known as Art of Shades, he first gained recognition with his debut track All Away (2013), which has garnered over 35 million streams by 2024. Founder of the label Sound of Shades, Leonardo has collaborated with prominent international artists such as Kanye West, Amaarae, and Sean Leon. In 2024, he composed the original soundtrack for the Loups Garous series, produced by Canal Plus, Fary, and Panayotis. Leonardo’s diverse background, ranging from classical piano training to jazz studies at the Paris College of Music (IMEP), gives him the ability to navigate various musical genres, including electronic, hip-hop, R&B, and afrobeat. His talent has led him to work on major projects like Fountain Baby by Amaarae, Sad Lovers and Giants by Crystal Murray, and Sci-Fi for Kanye West's Donda 2. In addition to his music production, Leonardo is also deeply involved in composing for films, TV shows, and video games.
