Blaq Fuego was born in Kampala, the Ugandan capital, but raised in Nansana, a town outside of Kampala. He moved to the United States to further his studies, he is a Maryville University St. Louis Missouri Alumni in communications information systems. In Chicago, he got heavily into rap and hip hop, listening to Nas, Tupac Shakur and B.I.G as well as dancehall kingpins Shabba Ranks and Chaka Demus Pliers. Blaq Fuego also found a willing mentor in hip hop producer No I D, whose credits include work with Common, Kanye West, Nas, Mariah Carey & Jayz. Most notable tracks are Iron Man Magnetized ft Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang Clan. Blaq Fuego is an entrepreneur. He operates the independent label BFuego Ent which has several artistes signed to its roster. They include Ukrainian artist Russell Eve, Ugandan artist Dav King & Madd Vybez a reggae/rap duo with Rapper Aceito & Blaq Fuego himself.
