RVRSPLAY is a collective of forward-thinking artists, producers, and composers headed by veteran electronic music innovators Mike Genato and Mark Merlino. Since 1998, they’ve contributed to some of the most important underground electronic records, both stateside and abroad. Today, RVRSPLAY focuses over 20+ years of scoring to picture into creating imaginative music for film, television, and video game advertising, as well as bespoke scores for brands and interactive media. Their signature sound has already been associated with some of the most recognizable brands, including Marvel, Netflix, Activision Blizzard, Syfy, Infiniti, Lexus, Nike, and more. Having helped shape the foundation of drum & bass music culture in America, these two creative minds have been backed by some of the biggest names in the scene including LTJ Bukem, Andy C, Bryan Gee, Fabio, Marcus Intalex, Outrage, AK1200, DJ Rap, and BBC Radio 1. Branching out from the underground scene, Mike and Mark each dove into producing and mixing hip-hop and R&B records from NYC-underground artists with regular airplay on Hot97 and BBC’s Radio 1, and for multi-grammy awarded recording artists Lauryn Hill, Creed and more. In 2017, both Merlino and Genato joined forces to form RVRSPLAY. Keeping in line with their love for electronic music and Sci-Fi, RVRSPLAY produces rich, detailed hybrid scores that compliment any thrilling productions, high-impact trailers, and advertising.
