Biography

Davide Burani was born in Modena (Italy), where he began studying piano and then graduated brilliantly at the "Niccolò Paganini" conservatoire in Genoa. Subsequently, he undertook the study of the harp under the guidance of Francesca Frigotto, at the Conservatoire "Arrigo Boito" in Parma, graduating with the highest marks and obtaining, always at the same Institute, the second level degree of Superior Musical Studies, with full marks and highest honours, under the guidance of Emanuela Degli Esposti. He later attended specialist courses with Ieuan Jones, Fabrice Pierre and Judith Liber. He is the first harp of the Philharmonic of the Italian Opera "Bruno Bartoletti" and of the Symphonic Orchestra of the “Terre Verdiane” and collaborates with the Orchestra of the Municipal Theatre of Bologna, with the Orchestra of the Italian Swiss Radio, with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Verona (formerly named "Virtuosi Italiani"), with the "Bruno Maderna" Orchestra of Forlì, with Veneto’s Philharmonic Orchestra of Treviso, with the "Città di Ferrara" Orchestra, with the Emilia Romagna Symphony Orchestra "Arturo Toscanini", with the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra of Palma de Mallorca. Since 2009 he has been teaching harp at the Higher Institute of Musical Studies "Achille Peri - Claudio Merulo" in Reggio Emilia and Castelnovo ne’ Monti.
