Noah Kellman is a pianist, educator, composer, and author based in New York City. With over 200k subscribers between YouTube and Instagram, he is perhaps best known for his focus on simplifying modern improvisational music concepts into digestible methodology and demonstrating these techniques through his own performances. After completing The Brubeck Institute Fellowship Program, where he had the great opportunity to work with Dave Brubeck himself, he then went on to graduate from New York University with a Master’s Degree in Scoring For Film & Multimedia. Soon after, he authored The Game Music Handbook (2020), released internationally with Oxford University Press. He has also worked on various innovative multimedia projects, including To Be With Hamlet (2018), a live, Shakespeare performance that takes place in virtual reality; Where Shadows Slumber (2018), a mobile video game that uses an interactive shadow to reveal hidden objects; and Grobo (2019), a 2D mobile puzzle platformer. In 2017, Noah was part of the ASCAP/Columbia Film Scoring Workshop, where he worked with director Federico Spiazzi and composed the music for the Columbia University Film Festival trailer for which he went on to receive the 2017 ASCAP Henry Mancini Music Fellowship after recording a 12-piece big band for the score.
