Formerly of Ipso Facto, Wain "The Dreadlock Cowboy" McFarlane pursued his desire to explore different types of music, creating category-bending bands such as Zydeco Blue, The Ones Who Got Away and JAHZ. As the Dreadlock Cowboy, he is shaping a new category of music inspired by his mother: American Southern River Music, folkloric storytelling music that highlights a unique beat with a lot of Southern fun. When starting his musical roots, he was inspired by his father's music, Reggae music from Jamaica. His most recent album, Dreadlock Cowboy, is folkloric storytelling music which highlights this unique blend as the river becomes the eternal story of the melody.
