Born Ezekia Weekes on February 18, 1992 and raised in Boston, Massachusetts EMW A.K.A Black Dynamite has been writing and freetyling rhymes since he was 16 years old. He recorded his first mixtape, Ebonix ,when he was 20 years old with fellow Boston based rap acts such close friend Champ Chuck and Alex Zander. The project is a very raw and expressive representation of his colorful and at times very thoughtful personality. After the birth of his son Mesani in 2014, He took a bit of a step back from music to focus on family. However, he has always paid very close attention to the evolution of the hip-hop music scene he grew up with and holds very dear to his heart. He has been working on mixing newer, more popular sounds with the same hard and heavy emotion and content.
