Biography

Afasi &amp; Filthy was a Swedish hip hop duo from Uppsala, Sweden composed of rapper Herbert Munkhammar (known as Afasi) and producer Magnus Lidehäll (known as Filthy). Munkhammar and Lidehäll were classmates in the same school and they started performing at their school in Uppsala. In 2003 they released the EP 1990 Nånting. The title track, that included a collaboration from Snook was released a success on radio that summer and charted in Sweden. Based on this radio success, the duo signed a contract with BMG, releasing the single "Bomfalleralla". After their major label single, they released two EPs and two mixtapes called Hotell Stress which was released in 2 separate volumes in 2006 and 2007. Fläcken is the band's critically acclaimed final album under the duo name. The duo continued under the name Afasi &amp; Filthy until 2009. Afasi decided to join the group Maskinen in which they had great success with the singles “Kross alla fönster”, “Segertåget” and “Alla som inte dansar”. He also eventually became part of the duo Ansiktet which had a massive song with “Äckligt". Today he is a soloartist under the name Herbert Munkhammar. Magnus Lidehäll continued with a successful producing and songwriting career, most notably playing a key role in breaking Seinabo Sey, co-writing and producing all songs on her debut EP "For Madeleine” and her debut album "Pretend". Recently his songs “Area” and “Keep on Lovin’” were featured in the iPhone 8 and iPhone X advertisements.<br>
